Louis
Risoli's recent work has opened up dramatically from the rectilinear
format he long employed. His newest canvases are sweeping,
curvaceous forms out of which openings have been cut. These
intricately-shaped paintings have been treated in Risoli's
signature style, with a fluid paint handling of biomorphic
imagery that appears both microscopic and vast.
Risoli has an extensive exhibition history and has work in corporate and public
collections, including the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, Massachusetts
and the Rose Art Museum in Waltham, Massachusetts.
