Mitch Ryerson is widely known for his colorful and inventive forms, which recently have focussed on America's industrial heritage. Employing such elements as gears and clockworks, Ryerson's cabinets and totemic wall units glow with youthful wit. Ryerson has also led a much praised public art project in and around Cambridge, Massachusetts through which dying trees are carved into public seating.
