Peter
Scott is best known for his quirky, eccentric, and witty line,
which animates his dense and energetic black-and-white drawings
and prints of his personal world - the studio and its paraphernalia,
his family, Jamaica Plain street corners, and the School of
the Musuem of Fine Arts, where he teaches.
Recently he's developed a body of digital prints of images in his private sketchbooks. The prints present both pencil drawings and layered mixed media pieces blown up, sometimes greatly, in both straightforward and much altered versions.
Scott has been shown in this country and in Europe and is represented in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Boston Atheneum, and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium.
