Louis Risoli: Come Walk With Me
On View: June 12 – July 17, 2026
Reception: Friday, June 12, 5–7 pm
Every day I walk. Every day I paint. A few years ago, when the abstract paintings I had been making started to feel too familiar, I needed to try something beyond what I knew and decided to combine the two activities. Both are necessities in my life. These paintings explore my relationship with nature and with paint. Both encompass delight, anxiety, discovery, connectivity, and, at times, getting lost. Seasonality makes its play. Patterns and rhythms emerge. The unknowable and ungraspable remain just that, but keep on calling.
These paintings are a chronicle of my wanderings in the woods and in the studio. I invite you to join me.
